Hello everyone! My name is Michael Denney and I am the newly appointed Publicity Chairperson and Phyllis Gillingham is my assistant.  We are taking over from the now-Vice Commodore EJ Williams.  We are working on getting up-to-speed on the newsletter process and sorting out our workflows so that we can get you the club news on a regular and reliable basis.  In addition to the newsletter we are presently working on overhauling the club website [ ecsail.org ]. The website overhaul is expected to take somewhere around 6 to 12 months.  In the meantime we are also working to keep the current site updated and accurate.  The overhaul is more so that the board and club chairs can manage the website faster and easier with less confusion but will also result in an overall faster and more responsive website for all users. Our website houses a substantial amount of information about the club and has many moving pieces and parts.  If you do spot any issues with the website at all or have any problems please do not hesitate to reach out to us at publicity@ecsail.org.   We look forward to seeing you out on the water this year! I am in the process of making a lot more softshell jackets (mens and womens style) as well as rash-guards and long-sleeve t-shirts. My Ship Store inventory now includes (see images below):

LETTER-TO-THE-EDITOR:  Les Miller

In solidarity with certain members of our club, I have ordered lengths of rainbow ribbons that I will fly from my backstay. Anyone else who wants to adorn their sloop with a ribbon can come by my sloop "Turbolino" (slip A10) or the race shed to pick one up. It would be a great showing for the Club to demonstrate its welcoming nature for ALL sailors. Ribbons should arrive in around 14+ days. Les Miller
