Bill Draheim has won National Championships in Thistle, C-15, 470, JY 15, J/22, Flying Scot, MC, and VX 1 classes. He is a Four time member of U.S. Sailing Team, three time winner of U.S. Sailing Championship of Champions. Bill has also been a three time finalist for U.S. Sailing Yachtsman of the Year.
After college and an Olympic Campaign in the 470 class, Bill worked for arguably America’s greatest sailor and sailmaker, Dave Ullman. In 1990 Bill bought the Ullman Sails loft in Dallas, TX. As a result of developing winning designs Bill went out on his own under the name Gus Sails. Eventually he worked for a large sailmaker for 2 years but decided to once again go out on his own under the new name DRAHEIM PERFORMANCE SAILING.
Bill has designed and produced sails that have won numerous National Championships under his DRAHEIM PERFORMANCE SAILING and we hope to share this knowledge and success with you! At the seminar Bill will cover frequent challenges of sailboat racing on small, shifty inland lakes like ours. Come prepared for an interactive dialog with questions about strategies and tactics you can use in your very next race!
